What questions should customers think through before talking to professionals about their project?
What is the vision for your project? Who is the audience?
When would you like your project completed?
What will your writing contributions be (if any)?
What is your budget for this project?
Describe a recent project you are fond of. How long did it take?
My most recent project is a 27,000 word self-authored diary titled, Before You Soar. The diary was written over a span of eight months, and is filled with transparent pages exhibiting one of the most humbling seasons of my life. This diary was formatted for publication in four months. Now, it can be yours today!
What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
Writing and VA services – This process begins with a free introductory consultation, typically handled via telephone. During this consultation we discuss the vision for your project and how I may be able to service you. I am also happy to arrange in-person or skype consultations with potential clients.
Nanny services – This process starts with a brief first meeting, either in-home or in a common place (like a local coffee shop). We can discuss my qualifications, your needs, and both of our requirements. Should we choose to move forward with a second meeting, let’s involve the kiddies (if we didn’t involve them in the first meeting) and see how we gel. We can began scheduling childcare thereafter. Light and easy!
What type of customers do you work with?
I work with a diverse range of internal and external customers of various backgrounds, professions, and levels of authority. I’ve worked with family, friends, and clients who have easily became family and friends.
What advice would you give to a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?
Be prepared to demonstrate how invested you are in your project and what your needs are. In addition to sharing your ideas, share any content that would help jump-start the process. This is an exciting time for you, and I can easily share in your excitement when there is evidence that you are passionate about your project too. Simply put: help me, help you!
How did I get started doing this type of work?
In all honesty, God started this. He has always known me and had an intricate plan for my life, as He does for yours. I am the one who keeps discovering how He got started – ha! Little experiences here and there were all in preparation for this very moment.
As an elementary school kid, I remember winning 1st place in a “My Hero” essay contest. I wrote that my hero was The Trinity (The Father, The Son, and Holy Spirit), and was asked to read aloud my essay to a group of adults. Whoa, kid!
One of my first writing projects as an adult was birthed after being approached by a beloved aunt with a unique story about her healing from childhood to adulthood. She desired to share a message with you in the form of a book, but she had no complete means of doing so.
Although at the time I had no published work to display, I knew that I was gifted by God in the area of writing and administration, and I was confident that I could assist her. I humbly made a proposition to take on her project, and together we wrote and published her first book, and began making her dreams become a reality. To God be the glory!
“Before I formed you in the womb, I knew you, before you were born I set you apart; I appointed you…” – Jeremiah 1:5 (NIV)

I also offer custom virtual assistant packages, and many a la carte writing, proofreading and editing services at low market prices.
